The newly appointed ministers of the coalition government led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have taken oath of office and secrecy.
President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers amidst a special ceremony at the Office of the President in Sheetal Niwas on Friday.
There are four ministers from Nepali Congress among those who took the oath. From the Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka became the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense, Prakash Sharan Mahat Finance, Ramesh Rijal Industry, Commerce and Supply and Sita Gurung took the oath as the Urban Development Minister. Four ministers took oath on Friday as NC got eight ministries.
Shakti Basnet has been given the responsibility of Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation from the Maoist Center.
This is the seventh time Prime Minister Dahal reconstituted the cabinet today.
Six more ministers are still to be inducted in the cabinet to get a full shape.
