Netherlands have defeated South Africa by 13 runs in a cricket match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup at Adelaide Cricket Ground, Australia on Sunday.

Netherlands inflicted a 13-run defeat on South Africa after they were able to restrict the latter to mere 145 runs while chasing the 159-run target.

To restrict the opponent, Brandon Glover grabbed the highest three wickets while Bas de Leede and Fred Klaassen took two wickets for Netherlands.

South Africa’s batsmen did not shine so well and were sent to the pavilion.

The other batsmen did not score significant runs and were trailing behind from reaching the target set by the Netherlands.

Earlier, electing to bat first after losing the toss, Netherlands notched up 158 runs in the allotted 20 runs losing four wickets.

Colin Ackermann topped the score with 41 runs  followed by Stephan Myburgh with 37 while Tom Cooper and Max O'Dowd made 35 and 29 runs.
