Pakistan entered the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup held at Adelaide Cricket Ground in Australia on Sunday.
Chasing the 128-run target set by Bangladesh, Pakistan reached it in 18.1 overs losing five wickets.
Mohammad Rizwan topped the score with 32 runs including four fours and one six off 32 deliveries. Similarly, Mohammad Haris made 31 runs while Babar Azam and Shan Masood scored 25 and 24 (out of 14 deliveries) runs, respectively.
In reply, Ebadot Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan and Nasum Ahmed took one wick each for Bangladesh.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh notched up 127 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing eight wickets.
Najmul Hossain Shanto made the highest 54 runs including seven fours followed by Afif Hossain and Soumya Sarkar with 24 and 20 runs, respectively while the other batsmen could not shine significantly.
To exert pressure on the opponent, Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed the highest four wickets followed by Shadab Khan with two wickets for Pakistan.
