Transport entrepreneurs and taxi drivers have taken to the streets in the Kathmandu Valley on Thursday.
They staged a demonstration with the display of vehicles at Sitapaila, chanting slogans, asserting that the government's policies and decisions are infringing upon their right to livelihood in Kathmandu.
The protestors have also demanded that vehicles with red number plates should be banned from carrying passengers along with the cessation of online taxi booking.
They have planned to circumambulate the ring road with a vehicle display, said Bhuvan Sangam, National Taxi Drivers’ Association.
