PM-led team to UN General Assemby finalized

A delegation led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to the United Nations General Assembly has been decided.

Foreign Minister NP Saud informed about it at the International Relations and Tourism Committee meeting under the House of Representatives on Thursday.

The Nepali delegation will leave on September 16 to participate in the 78th United Nations General Assembly, which is going to be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, USA.

According to Minister Saud, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the United States from September 16 to 21, 2023.

Minister Saud, Prime Minister's Chief Political Advisor Haribol Gajurel, Prime Minister Prachanda's Personal Secretary Ganga Dahal, National Security Advisor Shanker Das Bairagi, Chief Secretary Baikuntha Aryal, Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal will accompany Prime Minister Dahal.

Also accompanying with the Prime Minister to the US visit include Nepali Ambassador to the United States, Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations, officials of the Consulate General in New York, and media representatives from Nepal.

Minister Saud further informed that Prime Minister Prachanda will address the 78th United Nations General Assembly on September 21 on behalf of Nepal.

Prime Minister Prachanda will fly to China from USA on September 22.
