One killed, three injured in police firing at a polling station in Bajura

One person killed and three people critically injured in a police firing at Triveni Municipality-7 in Bajura district on Sunday.

The incident took place when police opened fire on a group of party cadres of the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML at a local polling station when they were getting engaged in a scuffle over vote rigging. Police resorted to bullets when they were trying to capture ballot boxes. 

According to Karna Bahadur Thapa, mayor of the municipality, the deceased has been identified as Sanjiv Airee, 27. Khadak Airee, Parshuram Upadhyay and Prem Thapa sustained injuries in police firing.
