Nepal has set a target of 185 runs for Oman in the final match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Sunday, Nepal notched up 184 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing 6 wickets.
Gulsan Jha topped the score with 54 runs including five fours and four sixes off 25 balls. Similarly, skipper Rohit Paudel made 52 not-out runs including five fours and two sixes off 37 deliveries.
Kushal Bhurtel and Karan KC Sundeep Jora contributed 31, 20 and 10 runs, respectively.
In reply, Bilal Khan took the highest three wickets followed by Aqib Ilyas and Zeeshan Maqsood with two and one wicket, respectively for Oman.
Today's match is a battle of prestige for both Nepal and Oman teams. Both Nepal and Oman have already qualified for the T20 World Cup by winning their semi-final matches.
The T20 World Cup will be held in the West Indies and the United States of America in 2024.
