The Dimag Kharab group, the team of a Nepali cine film, has said that it will not halt screening the film until Tuesday.
The team, following a meeting with the representatives of the Nepal Motion Pictures Association (NMPA) today, said (that) it will keep screening the film until November 21 saying that the discussions ended on a positive note.
The meeting between the representatives of the Dimag Kharab team and the NMPA was convened to deliberate on the matter after Nischal Basnet, the Director of Dimag Kharab, went Facebook live on Wednesday, warning that he would stop screening the film by Friday if the demands were not met.
Meanwhile, in a show of solidarity, the Nepal Film Producers Assocition has rallied behind the demands raised by the team of Dimag Kharab.
The Dimag Kharab team has been staging demonstrations putting forth two conditions (that) it should be given the same privileges as enjoyed by Hindi films including 50 percent of income made by selling tickets.
