Five Indian nationals who allegedly committed a burglary in a broad day light in Kathmandu on the pretext picking trash have landed in police net.
The arrested are 26-year-old Lakka alias Bikas Podar of Samastipur District, Mohiudinagar, currently staying at Tilganga, Kathmandu, Jitendra Podar, 28, of Begusarai district, Barauni, India, Bhailal Podar, 27, Baishali district, Bihar Budhupur, India, Sanjaya Podar, 40, of Samastipur district, Bidyapati Thana, India and Manju Devi Podar, 50, of Samastipur, India.
According to police, the arrested on February 11 broke into the house of Dilmaya Ale based in Gokaneshwar Municipality-4, Kathmandu, and decamped with cash and jewelries worth around Rs 6.5 million.
Acting on a tip-off, a squad of police rounded up Indian national Bikas Podar alias Lakka from Jadibuti for his involvement in the robbery from Jadibuti on Wednesday.
Likewise, According to police, they also robbed a house at Budhanilkantha Municipality-10 and another house at Gokaneshwar-3 of Rs 410,000, recently.
Five Indians including Podar involved in the robberies were sent to Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha for necessary actions, said the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.
