CPN (UML) candidate Bhagawati Chaudhary has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Sunsari-3.
Chaudhary garnered 40,788 votes to defeat Former Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar who received 35,600.
The vote difference between the two is 5,188.
Gachchhadar of Nepali Congress had defeated Chaudhary by 381 votes in the elections of 2074 BS.
Gachchhadar had received 38,972 votes then.
