Five people have died after a taxi heading to Gorkha from Kathmandu veered off the road and plunged into the Trishuli River on Saturday morning.
Three women and two men are among those dead, according to the police. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. All of them are from Gorkha district, said police.
The ill-fated taxi, Ba 2 Jha 4196, heading to Gorkha carrying passengers from Kathmandu went out of control and fell into the Trishuli River at Simaldhara in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5, Chitwan, this morning.
The accident took place at Simaldhara one kilometer before Muglin, said the Area Police Office, Muglin. The details are yet to come.
