Min Bahadur Budha of Pyuthan, popularly known as Velu Baje on social networking sites, has passed away.
He passed away in the course of treatment at Pyuthan District Hospital on Thursday evening, informed District Police Office, Pyuthan.
Earlier, Velu Baje had been admitted to Grande Hospital after he fell sick due to excessive consumption of alcohol.
He had recuperated following treatment and was taken back to his home district Pyuthan. He was admitted to the District Hospital at 1 pm yesterday after he complained of respiratory complications.
His wife had passed away a few months ago.
"He was feeling giddy and experiencing difficulty in breathing upon bringing to the hospital. He was pronounced dead by doctors at 7:30 pm," Pramila Khanal, the medical superintendent at the hospital, told Nepalkhabar, "He died of aspiration pneumonia with septic shock."
