A man and a woman found dead in a motorcycle accident at Dakshinkali in Kathmandu have been identified.
The couple were found dead on Wednesday after a motorcycle they were riding fell off a cliff at Kerabari in Dakshinkali Municipality-8.
According to SP Nawaraj Adhikari, spokesperson at District Police Range, Kathmandu, the deceased are Ramchandra Khanal, 42, of Siddhalekh Rural Municipality-5, Dhading, currently staying at Bhaktapur and Sabina Rai, 32, of Changunarayan Municipality-5, Bhaktapur.
Locals had informed the police about the accident after they found their bodies in a steep cliff in Kerabari on Wednesday afternoon.
The man was wearing black jeans pants and brown t-shirts while the woman was wearing black jean pants and blue-sky t-shirts along with a lady’s bag in red color.
After being tipped off about the incident by the locals, a team from Area Police Office, Pharping, Metropolitan Police Circle, Kirtipur and Disaster Management Division, Samakhusi retrieved the bodies stuck in a steep cliff.
“We assume that they have died in a motorcycle accident,” Adhikari told Nepalkhabar, “The accident may have occurred a few day ago.”
The police have also recovered a motorcycle, Bagmati Pradesh-002 -027 Cha 3812.
Police said they are carrying out further investigation into the case.
