Govt forms 3-member commission to probe Nuwakot helicopter crash

The government has formed a three-member probe panel to investigate the Nuwakot helicopter crash.

An emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Wednesday formed the probe panel led by senior pilot Subas Thapa of the Nepali Army.

Bishnu Basnet and Tanuja Pokharel are members of the commission.

Prithvi Subba Gurung, spokesperson of the Nepal government and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, informed that the commission has been given a deadline of 30 days.

Five people were killed in an Air Dynasty helicopter crash on Wednesday.

The helicopter, which was flyin gto Syafrubesi in Rasuwa, met with an accident at Suryachaur in Shivpuri Rural Municipality-7 of Nuwakot. Captain Arun Malla was flying the the ill-fated helicoptor.
