A sexagenarian man has stabbed his own son to death in Bhaktapur.
The incident took place at 10:15 pm last night near the Martyrs' Memorial Playground in Bhaktapur Municipality-2, DSP Dhundiraj Neupane of the District Police Range, Bhaktapur informed.
Dip Bahadur Shahi, 63, a resident of Hattibach Ghar, Kamalnagar Municipality-6, Achham, and currently residing in Bhaktapur, stabbed his 31-year-old son Narendra Shahi to death.
Narendra, who was seriously injured when his father attacked him with a sharp knife over a domestic dispute, was taken to Bhaktapur Hospital for treatment that night.
Critically injured Narendra breathed his last at 12:45 am during treatment, according to the District Police Range, Bhaktapur. His body has been kept at Kathmandu Medical College Duwakot for a postmortem.
DSP Neupane said they took the deceased's father Dip Bahadur immediately after the incident and are investigating the case.
