A charge-sheet has been filed against 31 individuals including Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane on the embezzlements of funds from Suryadarshan Cooperative.
A case has been filed at the District Court, Kaski against 31 individuals on three counts of criminal charges including, cooperative fraud, organized crime and money laundering. They have been ordered to pay an outstanding fine amounting to Rs 1,514,019,194.
Similarly, Lila Pachhai and Bishwa Bikram Rai have been charged under the transaction of crypto currency.
Lamichhane, Chhabilal Joshi, Ram Bahadur Khanal, Dipesh Kumar Pun, Netrapani Bastola, Devendra Babu Rai, Bigyan Rai, Lila Pachhai, Bishwa Bikram Rai, Bishal Tamang, Nabin Achhami, Rabina Rimal, Asharaf Ali Siddhiqui, Dipak Lama, Ananta Babu Rai and Om Prakash Gurung have been mentioned as defendants in the charge-sheet.
Similarly, those facing charge-sheets include Bir Bahadur Ranabhat, Dipa Neupane, Kalpana Kumari Shrestha, Gyan Bahadur Bamjan, Mina Gurung, Suryadhwaj Neupane, Arati Gurung, Lila Bahadur Gurung, Peshal Kumar Rai, Krishna Bahadur Gurung, Dev Kumar Nepali, Shakuntala Gurung, Mishra Kumari Gurung, Ritu Tamrakar and Laxmi Prasad Paudel.
Earlier, a case was filed along with the fine against 19 individuals including GB Rai on Friday itself.
The police filed the case against defendants including Lamichhae on Sunday after the 90-day term for investigation expired on Friday.
