The temperature of the Kathmandu Valley which decreased yesterday has plunged further on Friday.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), the temperature of the valley decreased to 4 degrees Celsius today.
The temperature of the Kathmandu Valley plunged to 4.1 degrees Celsius today. The Valley temperature was recorded at 6.7 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
The temperature is likely to decrease further due to the westerly low-pressure system that is entering Nepal this evening. It is likely to cause rain and snowfall, the MFD has said.
According to the Division, the weather will be cloudy and cause rains and snowfall in various parts of the country from Friday evening.
As a result, the cold waves will grip the entire county through Saturday due to westerly low-pressure system. Hence, the people in general are advised to take precautions.

The minimum temperture is measured at 8:45 am and the maximum temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm. Hence, today's maximum temperature will be made public later in the evening.
