The construction of major bridges on the Kathmandu-Terai/Madhesh Expressway is underway. The construction of bridges has commenced alongside the tunnels currently being built at Lendanda and Dhedre.
Of the 13 packages under the Kathmandu-Terai/Madhesh Expressway Road Project, seven involve tunnel construction. While work continues on these seven tunnels, two tunnels, located at Dhedre and Lendanda, have been completed.
Around 65 percent of the construction work of the tunnel in Mahadevtar has been completed, claimed the Nepali Army.
Similarly, out of 89 bridges to be constructed, 80 are under construction, currently. The construction of five bridges have been completed.
President Ramchandra Paudel has inspected the under-construction Kathmandu-Terai/Madhesh Expressway today.
Meanwhile, President Paudel directed the Nepali Army to complete the project within the stipulated time. The construction will be carried out from Kathmandu-Lalitpur-Makawanpur to Nijgadh in Bara.
