The thick fog has affected visibility for conducting air flight in Nepalgunj airport.

The haze has adversely affected the visibility, thereby disrupting air flights to and from Nepalgunj airport, according to Rinki Mallik, traffic controller at Civil Aviation Office, Nepalgunj. The visibility of light is only 50 meter.

It has resulted into disruption of some 50 flights in a day to and from the hilly districts, Pokhara city and the federal capital, Kathmandu.

Mallik informed that it is imperative to have the visibility as high as 1,000 meter to take off and 1,600 meter for landing. The passengers heading to hilly districts and the federal capital are stranded after the flight cancellations.
