Five people have sustained injuries after a Scorpio jeep met with an accident in Syangja on Tuesday morning.
A Scorpio jeep, Ga 1 Cha 8913, heading to Sirbani from Waling met with an accident on the Waling-Parbat road section at Tamadi in Waling Municipality-14, this morning, informed DSP Hari Prasad Paudel of the District Police Office, Syangja.
Those injured in the accident are 63-year-old Umapati Dumre of Waling-14, Syangja, Bhim Prasad Dumre, 52, Koshkant Dumre, 78, Kumakala Tiwari, 33, of Paiyun Rural Municipality-6, Parbat, and her son Kamal Tiwari, 11.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the Primary Health Center, Waling. The remaining three passengers escaped unhurt. The condition of the injured is out of danger, the police said.
A total of eight people were traveling in the jeep.
The vehicle skidded off and fell some four meters down the road, according to the police.
The cause of the accident has yet to be established.
