A young man has been stabbed to death in cold blood at Chabahil in Kathmandu.
Two groups of youths on Sunday morning had a fight on Uma Maheshwari Marg at Kumarigal in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-7, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old youth.
The deceased has been identified as Amrit alias Sangharsh Karki of Panityanki, Dhulikhel Municipality 9, Kavrepalanchowk, and currently residing in Nayabasti, Gokarneshwar Municipality-6, Kathmandu.
Police claim that one group tried to steal a mobile phone when the other group intervened in it, leading to the fight between the two groups.
Amrit, who was seriously injured in the knife-attack, was immediately taken to KMC Hospital in Sinamangal. The hospital declared him dead, informed SP Apilraj Bohara, the spokesperson of the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
Police have made public three individuals after arrest in connection with the murder on Tuesday.
