The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has predicted partly cloudy weather in hilly regions and light precipitation in the western part of Nepal. The country is currently affected by a partial influence of western winds and a western low-pressure system.
As of Thursday morning, hilly areas are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country remains mainly clear. However, some areas in the Terai region are experiencing fog and mist.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division predicts a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and lightning in some areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as in a few hilly regions across the country, according to weather bulletin released at 6:00 AM today.
Furthermore, there is a chance of light snowfall in some high mountainous areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, along with other high-altitude regions.
The department has cautioned that thunderstorms, lightning, and snowfall could potentially disrupt daily life, health, agriculture, road, and air transportation. General public are advised to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant to mitigate potential impacts.
