The Nepal Teachers' Federation has staged a whistle rally in the Kathmandu Valley demanding the enactment of the Nepal Education Bill.
The protest rally which kicked off at Maitighar Mandala headed toward Baneshwar shouting slogans, " Enact the Nepal Education Bill", Commence Parliament Session," Implement Past Agreements."
The teachers who staged a relay hunger strike in front of the Center for Education and Human Resource Development at Sanothimi in Bhaktapur has taken to the streets by blowing whistles.
The disgruntled teachers have stated that their agitation will continue until their demands are addressed by the government.
In September last year, the government and the Nepal Teachers Federation had signed a seven point agreement. But it was not implemented.
