Nepal has defeated Scotland by 6 wickets in the ODI match held under the ICC Men's World Cup Cricket League 2 in Kirtipur.
This is Nepal's sixth consecutive win in this ongoing triangular ODI involving America. With the win, Nepal has climbed the sixth position in the points table.
Nepal reached the target set by Scotland in 38.1 overs losing 4 wickets. To reach the target, captain Rohit Paudel scored the highest 74 runs and remained not out. Paudel hit 5 fours and 2 sixes off 98 balls followed by Ishan Pandey with 55 runs while Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel contributed 29 and 28 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not score significant runs. Lalit Rajbanshi was declared the Player of the Match.

On the bowling side, Mark Watt took 2 wickets and Brandon McMullen grabbed 1 wicket for Scotland.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Monday, Scotland notched up 194 runs losing all wickets in the 39.1 overs.
Brandon McMullen topped the score with 73 runs including 6 fours and 6 sixes off 44 balls followed by Michael English with 51 runs while George Munsey, Mark Watt and Richie Berrington contributed 21, 20 and 12 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.

In reply, Lalit Rajbanshi took the highest 4 wickets giving away 32 runs followed by Sandeep Lamichhane with 3 wickets while Sompal Kami, Dipendra Singh Airee and Nandan Yadav took 1 wicket each for Nepal. With this, Lamichhane made a record of fastest 150 wickets.
The next match will be held between Scotland and America on May 20.
