The Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has approved the name of proposed Supreme Court Justice, Binod Sharma.
A meeting of the Committee held at Singha Durbar today unanimously approved the name of Sharma as the SC Justice. There is a constitutional provision that president appoints justices only after approval by the PHC.
The Judicial Council on second time had recommended the name of Sharma for the post of SC Justice. The Committee had given a deadline of 10 days for complain against Sharma, but did not receive even a single complaint.
A meeting of the Judicial Council held on August 27 had decided to recommend Sharma for the appointment to the post of SC Justice.
