Kathmandu gets last-minute makeover for Qatari king's visit (photos)

Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, is arriving on Tuesday on a two-day visit to Nepal.

The Nepal government is repairing roads at the last-minute in Kathmandu to welcome the Qatari King.

In an effort to improve road conditions, the potholes are being filled and the lane markings are being repainted.

Similarly, Kathmandu Metropolitan City is cleaning the roads with broomers. The government has given a public holiday on Tuesday.
