Tribeni Sudhar Samaj on Saturday organized an interaction program to seek cooperation from people's representatives in upgrading and blacktopping the roads within the Tole.

Speaking at the interaction program, Member of Parliament (MP) of the House of Representatives (HoR), Durlav Thapa, urged all the residents of Tribeni Sudhar Samaj to stand united and come up with a single voice for the width of the road.

"I would like to urge all the residents of Tribeni  Sudhar Samaj to stand united and raise a single voice for the width of the road, regardless of the parties you belong to," said MP Thapa, we, as the representatives, will leave no stone unturned to improve the infrastructure of the Tole.

Meanwhile, he urged all the residents to come together and strike an agreement on the standards of the road, "If you are divided, the infrastructure development work will not move forward," said Thapa, "Stand united for the width of the road, we will blacktop the roads of this tole in the coming fiscal year."

Similarly, the ward Chairman of Suryabinayak Municipality-5, Raj Kumar Joshi, asserted that the recommended standards of at least six meters of road must be adhered to under any circumstances.

"We should adhere to the road standards of at least six meters recommended by the Municipal Assembly held in Poush, 2074 BS," he said ruling out the possibility of less than six meters of road." Joshi further said that it can be compromised in cases where the road is narrower due to the already-constructed house.

He urged the residents to finalize a main road in the tole through consensus as soon as possible. He suggested that subsidiary roads could be built to a standard width of four meters.

"I express my commitment to blacktop the main road in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS (subject to its finalization), using the allocated budget of Rs 26 million for Suryabinayak-5," pledged Joshi.

Additionally, he also pledged to relocate the dangerous 11,000-volt transmission lines away from Tribeni Tole.

Similarly, speaking at the interaction program, the lawmaker of the Bagmati Province Assembly, Kiran Thapa maintained that the road should not be less than six meters as per the standards set by the municipal assembly.

Thapa disagreed with Sudhar Samaj's proposal for a 16-foot road width. Instead, he suggested removing the compound wall to create more space and pledged to initiate the installation of CCTV cameras for enhanced security in the area.

Chaired by Chiranjivi Pokharel, the chairman of Tribeni Sudhar Samaj, the program was emceed by Bhupal Basnet, the secretary of the Samaj.
