The monsoon wind has its influence throughout the country at present. The monsoon low pressure front is located around its average position towards the east while it is located towards the north of the average position towards the west, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
The Department said the weather will be generally to completely cloudy throughout the country in the afternoon today. There is the likelihood of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places of all provinces. There are chances of heavy rain at one or two places of Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Likewise, the weather will be generally to completely cloudy throughout the country tonight with chances of light to moderate precipitation accompanied by thunder and lightning at many places of all the provinces. Heavy rain is predicted at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpacshim provinces tonight.
There are chances of light to moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning in all the provinces in the next 24 hours. Since there is the likelihood of heavy rainfall at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces and at one or two places of the rest of the provinces, the Department has called for precaution against debris flow, flooding, landslide hazards at these places.
