Marsyangdi bus plunge: All passengers Indians, arrived Pokhara Wednesday from Gorakhpur

All the 41 people including driver and co-driver who were traveling in the bus that fell into the Marsyangdi River are Indian nationals.

They had arrived in Pokhara two days ago (Wednesday) and after staying at Majheri Resort for two nights they were heading to Kathmandu this morning.

According to Tanahun SP Birendra Bahadur Shahi, the bus with the Indian number plate, UP 53 FT 7623, fell into the Maryangdi River from Ainapahara in Anbukhairahani in Tanahun at 11:30 am.

The rescue operation is underway. Fourteen bodies have been retrieved and 17 people who sustained injuries have been rescued so far.
