The hearing on the case against Sandeep Lamichhane scheduled for today (Monday) has been postponed.
The case was postponed after it was scheduled in the bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Ghimire who himself had sentenced Lamichhane to prison.
Kathmandu District Court Judge Ghimire was assigned to hear the case filed against rape-accused cricketer Lamichhane today.
“We have filed an application seeking postponement of the hearing on the case since it was scheduled in the bench of Judge Ghimire who had sentenced Lamichhane to prison,” said Saroj Krishna Ghimire, the advocate of Lamichhane, “Hearing will be held next week.”
Lamichhane’s case was assigned to the fourth bench of Judge Ghimire of Kathmandu District Court today.
