Ruling alliance meet today to finalize cabinet expansion

A meeting of ruling alliance has been called for today in a bid to finalize cabinet expansion.

A meeting of top leaders of the ruling alliance parties at Baluwatar on Monday agreed to summon the meeting of the ruling alliance on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairperson of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal were present in Monday's meeting. 

Tuesday's meeting is expected to finalize the ministerial portfolios among the ruling parties and the new ones to be inducted. 

Although it was said that cabinet would be expanded till Monday, it has been delayed as parties associated to ruling alliance failed to forge consensus in this regard. 

NC, CPN (Maoist Centre), Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party, Janamat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, among other parties are the members of the ruling alliance.
