The Supreme Court has issued a show cause notice on a petition demanding action against Rabi Lamichhane in the passport case.

A single bench of Justice Hari Prasad Phuyal on Wednesday asked the Attorney General's Office for a reason for not prosecuting the case.

After the Attorney General decided not to prosecute Rabi's passport case, a writ was filed against it.

Earlier, police had investigated the case lodged against Lamichhane.

The public prosecutor's office had decided not to prosecute the case related to passport misuse.
