13 SSPs recommended for promotion to DIG

Thirteen Senior Superintendents of Nepal Police have been recommended for promotion to the post of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police.

A promotion recommendation committee meeting held on Wednesday recommended them for promotion, in line with Rule 27 (4) of the Nepal Police Act, 2014 (with amendments), said AIG Sandeep Bhandari, the member secretary of the Committee.

Among those recommended for promotion include Kuber Kadayat, Kedar Dhakal, Bishnu Kumar KC, Bharat Bahadur Bohara, Rabindra KC, Rajeshnath Bastola, Chandra Kuber Khapung, Janak Bhattarai, Lalmani Acharya, Surendra Prasad Mainali, Arjun Chand Thakuri.

Likewise, Yagya Binod Pokharel and Bikas Raj Khanal have also been recommended for promotion. Those who joined Nepal Police as Police Inspector in the year 2051 BS were recommended as DIGs.

Ten police officers, who were promoted as SSPs in 2077, (Nepali month Baisakh) have become DIGs. Three others have been recommended from the last batch.

Similarly, 11 SPs were promoted to SSPs on December 26, in 2020.

Among them, Arjun Chand Thakuri, Surendra Prasad Mainali, Bikas Raj Khanal, who was promoted to SSP in 2078 BS (Nepali month Kartik), have been recommended as DIGs.
