Woman killed, 38 injured in Palpa bus accident

A woman has died and 38 people sustained injuries in a bus accident in the Palpa district on Sunday morning.

The ill-fated bus, Lu 1 Kha 5956, which was going from Butwal to Burtibang in Baglung, skidded off and fell some 200 meters in Tinau Rural Municipality-5, Jordhara, this morning.

Palpa Police Spokesperson DSP Birendra Thapa said that Radhika Paudel, who appears in her early 40s, died in the accident.

The condition of six among those injured is said to be critical.

The injured have been taken to Lumbini Medical College for treatment, said the police.
