5 killed, 4 injured in Gulmi jeep accident

Five people were killed and four others sustained injuries in a jeep accident that occurred at Satyawati rural municipality-3, Kudhdanda in Gulmi district in the wee hours on Wedneday.

According to the District Police Office, Gulmi, a jeep, Lu 3 Ch 5340, heading to Kudhdanda from Thulo Lumpek, met with an accident at Kutdanda on Tuesday at 2:30 am today.

The jeep skilled off and fell 200 meters down the road.

Gulmi Police Spokesperson DSP Madhavraj Kharel informed that jeep owner 51-year-old Jhalak Somai, Tika Rahadi, 55, Run Bahadur Sijapati, 47, Milan Taram, 25, and Jamuna Somai, 43, of Satyawati rural municipality-3 died in the accident.

Kharel said that four injured people have been sent to Palpa for treatment.
