Maha Shivaratri festival has been observed at Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu on Friday.

Not only devotees, but also babas from India have arrived at Pashupati. They are celebrating the festival by lighting a fire – called Shiva Dhuni on the premises of the temple.

A huge number of babas do come from India to observe Maha Shivaratri which falls on the Falgun Krishna Chaturdashi every year.

The Pashupti Area Development Trust bids them farewell by giving them some cash and other offerings once the festival concludes.
