When foreigners go festive with Holi at Basantapur (photos/video)

Holi, the festival of colors, is being celebrated in the hilly region of Nepal with much fanfare today.

The festival, which is also known as Fagu Punima, as it falls on the Falgun Shukla Punima, is being celebrated by exchanging greetings and smearing assorted color powers at each other among friends, family members and near and dear ones.

Meanwhile, hundreds of foreign tourists clad in vests and comfortable clothes participated in the Holi festivals at Basantapur Durbar Square, a touristic place located in the heart of Kathmandu, today.
