Karki sworn-in as State Minister for Forests and Environment

Newly appointed State Minister Dipak Karki has taken the oath of office and secrecy on Monday.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ administered Karki the oath of office amidst a ceremony held at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar a while ago.

Prime Minister ‘Prachanda’ appointed Karki, a Member of Parliament (MP) of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), as the Minister of State for Forests and Environment earlier in the day today.

Karki had been elected as an MP to the House of Representatives from Dhanusha-1 in the general elections held on November 20, 2022.  

Prime Minister Prachanda has expanded his cabinet for the third time today after the new ruling coalition including the CPN (UML) was formed on March 4.
