NC hits streets demanding probe into co-op fund fraud (photos)

Main opposition Nepali Congress which has been demanding the formation of a parliamentary investigation committee to look into the embezzlement of cooperatives’ fund hit the streets starting today.

Cadres of sister organizations of Nepali Congress and General Secretary duo Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Gagan Thapa and Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak and central members are participating in the agitation programs.

A joint meeting of the Parliamentary Party and Central Working Committee on last Wednesday had decided to stage a demonstration on the banners of NC district working committees of the Kathmandu Valley.

Nepali Congress has been upping the ante calling for impartial investigation into the fund misappropriation of cooperatives involving Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane.
